After leaving Brooklyn we stopped in at my Aunt and Uncles place in Wallsend. It was fantastic to catch up and share our stories. We kept on up the highway a bit further to Forster where we stayed in town for the night. The next morning we caught up with Ben's sister, Katrina, and her fiancé Chris . We had brunch/ breakfast and shared more stories and favourite places. After picking up our mail from Katrina's car, lots of hugs and see you soons, a tantrum, a bleeding nose and 3 toilet stops we hit the road again. A short drive north to Laurieton had us at Nana and Poppy's place! It was wonderful to see them and have lots of cuddles. The boys loved being somewhere familiar and made themselves very much at home. We enjoyed the next couple of days sharing our travels and comparing places we've been, plus a couple of swims at the beach in the sunshine was a must. Unfortunately we also had some devastating news of the death of family friend Angus. It was a sad and shocking time. On a happier note, Ben and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary and enjoyed a dinner out and some uninterrupted conversation time! It was a lovely way to spend the very last night of our trip, reminiscing about what we've done and what's ahead of us in the years to come.
