Day 10 - before we left Beziers we went to the Canal du Midi with its 9 lochs. We sat and watched the boats going through one of the lochs. They looked like they were hire boats as some of the drivers didn't negotiate the loch very well - one in particular crunched the boat twice! Hayley was quite fascinated! The boats came in, then they shut the gates and the water level rose and lifted the boats up to the same level at the top part of the river, then they opened the top gate and off they went.

Only took an hour to get to Sete, although we are staying about 7km out of Sete. We are here for 2 nights which will be nice to stay put. We've done our laundry and there is a pool here at the hotel so it has been a relaxing afternoon.

The further south we go the hotter it gets and the longer the siesta! We had to have ice cream for lunch as no one else was serving lunch. Will head to the mediterranean sea tomorrow for the day.
