Had to visit Birdsville, the home of Big Red. Population of 120 which swells to 7,500 in September when the Birdsville races are on. Went out to Big Red and it sure is big and red! Countryside looks quite green thanks to some rain a few months ago.

We camped the previous night in Bedourie (heart of the shire).

Great pub meals in both towns was a highlight.
