Around 2am it started raining (and 20 hours later it hasn't stopped). Needed to pack the swag up wet and after a consultation, decided that the preferred route thru Tylers Pass was not possible. We were able to take a shortcut cutting 100km's from the drive to Alice but a warning light on the Prado suggests a problem with ABS. Got to Alice ok and booked the car into Toyota tomorrow morning.
Hopefully the rain will ease tho the locals want it to continue.

Toby No need to get personal Al, I can assure no one is going to get a root through Tyler's pass. Do I note you are complaining again! Heat, flies, refrigerators, toyotas,& now rain. You remind me of that monk who after years in the monastery complaining every year said I quit.
JG Hi Al, Nice to know that even in the middle of Australia you can still get Toyota service. Somehow takes out the "outback" feel to the trip. Pleased to hear you are being rained on. Hope it washes away the flies.
