Spent the next morning getting the car sorted out. The problem related to a faulty camper/car connection which when fixed the ABS problem went away! Alice is now a very modern & well-equipped town & The Red Dog Cafe makes a fine egg & bacon s/w. Parrots pinch the sugar sachets so they have to place the container upside down! Around 2am it started raining (and 20 hours later it hasn't stopped). Needed to pack the swag up wet and after a consultation, decided that the preferred route thru Tylers Pass was not possible. We were able to take a shortcut cutting 100km's from the drive to Alice but a warning light on the Prado suggests a problem with ABS. Got to Alice ok and booked the car into Toyota tomorrow morning. Hopefully the rain will ease tho the locals want it to continue.
