I got off the train in Kings Cross and looked through the photos of the maps I had saved on my iPhone. Before I had left I promised Nana I would find and visit where her dad used to live. The first address I had to find was 4 Pakenham Street WC1. I also wanted to visit Regent Square. The easy part was that I knew the two addresses were not too far from Kings Cross Station. The more challenging part was that we were relying on my ability to read a map, which for anyone who knows me knows it isn't something that I do too well. Luckily Paul had come with me. There were also large maps on the side of the main roads that show you where you are. After walking in completely the wrong direction the first time we finally found 4 Pakenham Street. I had seen photos on Google Maps so knew we were in the right place when I saw the beginning of the street. I took a video of us walking down the street to number 4 and then took some photos for nana. We think that the houses were possibly rebuilt around the 1960s, but it's still the same road and address. From there we walked to Regent Square. I'd never seen anything like it. The buildings are literally built in a square shape and in the centre of the square is a park with beautiful established trees and park benches. A fence surrounds the park and there is a sign saying that the gates are locked at night. To the left hand side of the park is a large information board that tells you about an old church that used to stand there and how it was bombed in the war. We knew that Nana's dad lived in Regent Square as a child through finding a copy of an original census form. We then got the underground train to Oxford Street. I bought a new handbag as I'm struggling to fit everything in the one I have at the moment. From there we visited Trafalgar Square. It looked a lot different from when we first saw it when the Canada Day celebrations were taking place. I fell in love with Trafalgar Square. It has the most beautiful fountains, lots of space to sit around the edges of the water to relax and amazing historic statues. From Trafalgar Square we walked down to feed the squirrels again at St James Park. Paul even fed one out of his mouth. Laille and Jan took us to China Town for dinner, where we met some more of their friends. After dinner we went to M&M World. It was somewhere I wanted to go, but I had no idea how amazing this place was. The outside of the shop has bright flashing lights that are continuously changing colour. Loud music fills the shop and there are walls covered in a rainbow of chocolate M&Ms. We took our photos by the different characters and then purchased some presents for each other. I want to collect a bracelet from each country so Paul bought me a silver bracelet that has M&Ms dangling off it, as well a nighty. Paul wanted an M&M cup that you freeze and then the jelly pieces built into the cup keep your drink cold. It was such a big day, but M&M World was definitely the best way to end it.
