This morning I was sitting on my bed eating my chocolate orange when Paul spotted a fox from our bedroom window. He was running around in the section that backs onto Laille's backyard. I'm not sure who the land belongs to as it has no buildings on it and is quite overgrown. The fox seemed quite timid and ran away when the dog over the back started barking. Jan said that they come out early in the morning and that he often sees them on the way to the train in the morning. Apparently more of them come around when it's rubbish day. Paul keeps wanting to go exploring for foxes. He went for a walk down the street tonight, but only came back with photos of a large frog. He came back to get me so he could show me the frog, but by the time we got back to where he had been it had gone. Today we had a quiet morning. Then late morning we caught the train to Victoria Station. We had lunch at a cute little restaurant opposite the Victoria Bus Station. There were hanging baskets of flowers and cafe style tables and chairs outside. The waitress seemed almost offended when we asked for the bill. I think we were meant to wait for it to be polite, but we were running out of time to get across to the bus station. Then the guy tried to give our tip back to Paul. Still trying to learn what the etiquette is here. When we got to the bus station we boarded the Harrods open top, double decker bus. I was a little disappointment that it wasn't red, but loved that it was a vintage bus at least fifty years old. Our tour guide was really informative. His name was Sheldon just like on Big Bang Theory. We learnt a lot about the history of London as well as getting a chance to see some of the main tourist attractions e.g the London Eye, the tower bridge, Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. We didn't get to see a guard change as that only happens in the morning. We might go down to Buckingham Palace to watch that another day though. Tonight I found out how to get to both 4 Pakenham Street and Regent Square. I'm going to go there to see where my great grandfather used to live over one hundred years ago. I realise that the buildings will most likely be different, but this is something I really wanted to do while I'm here, especially for Nana. Tomorrow we are getting up early to catch the Eurostar and visit Disneyland. So excited!! xx
