I couldn't have been any more excited when I saw the entrance to Disneyland Paris!! I felt like a little kid again. The entrance is beautiful. There is a large pond with foundations and a waterfall. The pond is surrounded by the most immaculate, colourful gardens. Paul made a comment about them being like something Poppa would do. Behind the gardens and pond is the candy floss pink Disney Paris Hotel. The photos just really don't do it justice. You walk underneath the hotel to enter Disneyland. Pastel painted cafes and Disney merchandise shops line the cobbled street on both sides. As you make your way down the street Sleeping Beauty's castle comes into view. Magical is the only word I can think of to describe it. We only had five hours at Disneyland so spent it taking lots of photos and exploring the park. We went on a boat ride, but I missed out on the teacup ride as the line was so long. The teacups are beautiful though! Paul bought me a red glass rose like Belle's rose off Beauty and the Beast. The plate it sits on says I love you in French. After exploring the park we found a cute little cafe, had a snack and soaked up the atmosphere. The Eurostar wasn't as scary as I thought it was going to be. I was really nervous. Neither Paul or I could tell when we had crossed over from England to France. I was really surprised that you spend most of the time above ground, speeding through the country side. At least now I can say I really know what it's like to go on the Eurostar. As a child I thought it was a glass tunnel under the ocean where you would be able to see lots of sea creatures swimming around. As I grew older I thought that you must just be stuck in a pitch black tunnel for two hours. I really had no idea! Despite the perception people have of the French being really rude I found that they were genuinely friendly and helpful. Though the language barrier can prove challenging at times. We were shattered when we got home, but it was definitely worth the trip to Paris. Best day ever!! xx
