Day 29 03/07/2013 Melbourne to Broome.
We are back in WA to resume our travels after just over 2 weeks. We had some great family time in Darwin, culminating with Helen and John's wedding. Then we travelled to Melbourne to look after 3 of our grandchildren for a week.
We flew back to Broome from Melbourne with lots of other passengers seeking to escape the cold; especially families taking advantage of winter school holidays! In fact it is only in winter that you can fly directly to Broome from the eastern capital cities!
After disembarking onto the tarmac into warm sunshine, we took a cab from the airport to pick up our vehicle from storage and then headed to the auto-electrician to pick up our camper-trailer......we had been getting some electrical repairs done.
Lunch, shopping and re-fuelling were next on the agenda, before checking in to the caravan park around 2.30pm. After setting up and doing some re-arranging, un-packing etc. we headed out for a walk and an early dinner (our stomachs felt like it was 7pm, even though the clocks read 5pm!)
We watched another amazing WA sunset over the water from our restaurant table, and then strolled back to camp.
So.....not a hugely exciting day.....but we are heading north to Cape Leveque tomorrow!
