After we bothed crashed out early doors last night we weer up nice and early this morning!! After getting ready and having brekkie as usual we set off for Townsville. It was a couple of hours drive. Oz's are crazy drivers out here! They drive right up your arse, dont pull over to let you out and there are massive trucks which go belting past you, so you have to be so aware of all the other traffic on the road! They are all so laid back but as soon as they are on the road everyone seems to be on a mission to get everywhere.

17k South of Townsville is Billabong Sanctury. It is a small wildlife park, so we stopped there for the afternoon. It is really hot today, we cant bare this is there winter!! The park was 29 dollars each, we got to both hold a koala which was the cutest thing ever. Mike has agreed I am allowed to bring one home!! They are so gorgeous, they have sharpe claws which can hurt a little when they cling on to you like a little baby!! But they are my new favourite animal!! After seeing a crocodile show which was really good, we fed some Kangaroos and birds! Then we held a pythan, Mike was scared, lol!! But as I held it he felt he had to, haha. We also held a baby crocodile! We both really enjoyed the sanctuary.

After here we headed into Townsville, we didnt get a great vibe as Mike says! So after driving around for 20 mins to find a campsite, we decided to keep driving along the highway and stay somewhere north, just out of town as its cheaper and we aer heading to mission beach 2moro so we only had to jump back on the highway. So we didnt see much of Townsville really, it was quite a built up town with quite a few commercial food places and shops.

We ended up staying in a campsite in Bluewater, right off the Highway. It wasnt the best but was good for the night. When we got there Mike jumped in the pool for a bit. We had chicken schnitzel and beans for dinner tonight which was sooooo good!! The sky tonight was amazing, we have never seen so many stars. We sat outsite our campervan for a while to look at them all, we tried to take some pictures ut they didnt come out, the sky was just covered.

We both really enjoyed today, one of so many!!

I completely forgot to tell you about the frogs!! I went to have a shower about 6 which by then is pitch black and there was a powercut so i had to wait. But after a while I asked Mike to come in with me and hold a tourch, lol, but just as we went in the lights came back on! So Mike went back to the camper and a mintue later I come running out calling for him, so he comes back into the loos and there are so many frogs and gekos everywhere!!!! They were horrible, big green ones and little brown ones. They were in every cubicle!! I dont mind having a snake around by neck but having frogs jumping around whilst im in the shower sends a shiver up my spine, lol. So I made Mike stand outside my shower cubicle whilst I had the quickest shower ever, lol!!!! See the pics Mike took of them, they look evil!!
