This morning the weather was still bad so we decided to drive to Waitomo Caves to see the glow worms. The drive took about 2 hours and was very foggy. Once we arrived at Waitomo we bought a combo ticket, we first had a guided tour around Aranui Caves. The caves were really impressive and are huge with loads of different rock formations etc. We managed to get a good few pictures. From here we drove 5 mintues down the road to the Waitomo caves. Unfortunately there had been flooding so we couldnt do the full tour but we still got to see lots of glow worms, they light up the caves like little blue christmas tree lights. We went 36m down in the caves to see them. In our tour group was a big choir group who broke into song in the caves which me and Mike thought was random at first but they were actually really good!
After here, we headed back to Taupo with everything crossed that the weather would clear up so we could skydive tomorrow!
