It took about 3 and a half hours to get here from Coffs Harbour, the last hour was tough as it was pitch black and the roads can be really bad out here. They have such sharp bends which arent lit up at all so you have to be so careful. There are alot of road accidents out here but you can see why sometimes.

Once we arrived here it was about half 7 and after driving to a few campsites we realised the receptions all close by half 7 so we couldnt get into any campsite! So we drove round for ages trying to find somewhere we could pull up etc as its illegal so you have to be really careful. There are SO SO many campervans here though, loads of wickeds, jucys, apollo. So after buying dinner and cooking it on the beach we ended up driving down a really dark round and pulling up next to about 10 other campervans on some grass verge!! If we were going to get a fine at least we wouldnt be the only ones!

We got woken up by some stupid traffic wraden banging as loud as he could of every campervan window at half 6 this morning!!!! So we didnt get a fine, we threw some clothes on, pulled the curtains back, and jumped in the front of Collin and drove back over to the beach! It was actually really funny and by now we were up so we opened the back door up and watched the sunrise over the ocean while staying under the duvet! So it turned out to be a good alarm call!

We stayed around by the beach and had breakfast until about 8am, then we drove to a campsite and managed to get straight in, so we pulled up and got a shower, then drove to a bike hire shop! We hired bikes for 4 hours and ended up driving all around Byron, to the most eastern point, doing about 10k! We took a wrong path at one point up the side of a massive rock on the beach, which we found out once we got back down again that bikes were prohibited, lol!! Trust us! The weather has been so good today, it has been abour 25 degrees with not a cloud in the sky, so we had a really good morning out on the bikes. By the time we dropped them off our bums were really numb though!

We did a shop to get food in for dinner and lunch for the next few days then went back to our campsite and ate while sunbathing in our deck chairs!! After lunch we put on our bikini (Amy) and boarders (Mike) and layed out on the beach for a while! Mike went for a swim in the sea which he said was very cold! We played one of Mikes made up games then went back for showers. The beach infront of our campsite is really nice, it goes on for miles. Tonight we are going to have dinner and drinks with Collin then walk into the centre for a few. Its really nice here, full of travellers. Its a smaller place than we imagined but full of little shops, restuarants and bars,
