Hope you all had a great Christmas, mine was certainly different, but very good!
It rained alot, which I guess isnt so different from England (normally) except that it was a lot more rain than we usually get, since Christmas morning we have had about 180ml, and we have been lucky here. South of us got over 700ml!! and there was a small cyclone north of us in Carins. The roads are all flooded so I have had to book a flight from Townsville to Cairns to make sure I get my flight down south, at the moment I wouldnt be able to get there by road!
Other than very wet, Christmas was also different in that it was still hot. Therefore Chirstmas lunch wasnt a roast dinner, but cold turkey and ham and seafood with salad and pimms and Christmas pudding icecream to finish it all off!
Today we went to the video shop to get some DVDs (and take pictures of the floods) to keep us amused for the next few days as it is definately 'hide inside' weather!

an & Gdad Belated happy Christmas, Emma. We did telephone you but couldn't get through. Sounds as though you had a good day despite the rain. Still very cold here but no snow for the last few days, thank goodness. Everything is frozen so walking outside is dangerous. We had a great day with A,S,M,K and Marlene, delicious food and good company. We are bracing ourselves now for going to their house again tomorrow when your Mum and Dad, K&D and P&S will be there! You must of phoned at the same time and Northleaze which is a shame, but the line was terrible so may not have been a great conversation. Philip & Sheila Hi Emma Glad to here you got the vouchers okay! Sheila not very well today, mainly sick all morning, I blamed the large Brandy that she had last night, as we both had the same food! She disagreed well she would. Sorry to here the weather has been poor but at leasts its hot! Have a good boxing day but beware of the roo's. Love Philip
Emma Poor Sheila, thats not a nice way to spend christmas, hope she feels better soon. Hopefully I will have a sunny New Year to make up for it. Weather is better down south. At least we werent hit by the cyclone! xxx
