After a very long couple of days I have finally arrived.

From tears and tantroms at T5 on Monday to being in Auckland today!

Incredibly jet lagged as didn't get a lot of sleep on either flight, despite the upgrade! Already raining in Auckland but still quite nice to finally be here as I was getting a bit sick of departure lounges and aeroplane food.

Also managed to wangle an upgrade on my room which was great as now have an ensuite as well! At the moment there is only one other woman in my room who is in her 40s and living life to the full. Quite nice to have some peace and quiet for once! Finally got my bag back as well so a proper shower made the world of difference to my mood.

Going down to the bar with people from next door and even get a free meal. Hoping the weather will clear up a bit by tomorrow so that I can go to the skytower as I'm not sure that the views will be the same with loads of clouds about.

Will hopefully be starting on the bus tour on Friday but will have to wait and see with the dates and times as they are being a bit of a nightmare on the phone!
