Really short journey from Kaikoura onto Blenheim which was good as we arrived before midday. Felt a bit lost getting off the bus when every9one else was staying on. Found the tourist office and managed to get to Renwick whihc was where all of the vineyards were.

Really nice hostel but very different to all of the BASE hostels that we have been staying in. Very homely and everyone there was a lot older but it made a change.

Hired bikes and went in search of vino! Made it to Cloudy Bay which was really cool and such a beautiful place. Then headed onto Scott Estate which was no where near as good. The three of us tasted four wines and I dont think any of us would have brought any of them which was a shame, and they charged us! Then went off the beaten track a bit and went to a beer tasting place for Moa. Ended up staying and having something to eat and a pint which was really nice as we were so lucky with the weather.

Then did a speed cycle up to Sarrisons before it closed and just made it in time but completely knackered us out. Really worht it though as it was really nice there.

Made it back to the hostel with a slightly sore bum as we hadnt realised that 16km was quiet that far. Sat in the lounge at the hostel and watched Lord of the Rings and had an early night as not a lot going on in the town.
