After all the rain last night, good weather was not expected but luckily for us we had one of those perfect NZ days where there isnt a cloud in the sky and you manage to go a whole 12 hours without it raining!

Drove down highway 6 and stopped off at a seal colony which was quiet cool, unfortunatly this is not the best time of year to see them though.

Also stopped off at the Punakaiki Pancake Rocks for lunch which was great and some fantastic scenery all day.

Arrived in Mahinapua (population 3) in the early afternoon. Amazing place that the Kiwi bus has been coming to for 15 years. Its fancy dress night and we had a theme of haloween which everyone got involved in.

We all through in $10 and cooked steaks, pasta, potatoes and venison. Amazing food and so full afterwards. We all got changed and hit the bar and there were several drinking games that went on throughout the night, none of them that I was very good at. Rolled into bed about 3 ish. great night!
