Went on an organised day trip of Auckland which was really good, apart from the weather. It pissed it down! Did a walk over the Harbour bridge which was great although a bit windy and then Oli did a bungy jump off of the middle of the bridge. Dried off and went for lunch in a town jsut outside Auckland. Packed up and left the sanctuary of the log cabin at YHA. Had a chilled out afternoon on the beach watching the world go by. Left Bay of Islands mid afternoon to head back to Auckland. Can't believe how quickly the 5 weeks have gone! Went out with Oli, Alex and Liam as well as a friend of theirs that they met in Roturua for Asian food which was amazing. Went to the bar under the hostel for a few games of pool and in bed fairly early.

Left Taupo. Quiet sad to go really but had Buzz as our bus driver again which was really nice. Travelled through Roturua which was weird as it was nearly 5 weeks ago that I was last there. Really don't like being back in Auckland, checked into ACB and it is even worse than Nomads! Met up with Jo and Nicole again which was nice and we sat in a swanky bar scoring free wine off the bar tender and drinking far too many cocktails! Room was spinning!

Went to the Sky Tower today as although it is still raining here, by lunchtime it had cleared up a bit and the fog had lifted. The skytower is the tallest in the S. hemisphere and I got to go right to the top as I had a voucher from the hostel. The elavators go up the outside of the building as well meaning you can see out as you are going up. I could feel my ears popping with the pressure! After a very long couple of days I have finally arrived. From tears and tantroms at T5 on Monday to being in Auckland today! Incredibly jet lagged as didn't get a lot of sleep on either flight, despite the upgrade! Already raining in Auckland but still quite nice to finally be here as I was getting a bit sick of departure lounges and aeroplane food.
