People are slowing coming back to the compound ready for school on Monday. So far we have 5 families out of 10 families.
I was worried about everyone coming back again, after having the opportunity to see what it's like when the compound is empty with privacy and silence. But Madam Jane came home Monday and it was great to see her, along with Madam Halimah, who kindly gave us some Avacados from her village. Your just be walking to the long drop at night and your hear Jane shout "witt woo" at me, or something like that to make me laugh. I'm glad the family are back! :)
Not sure were it came from but all of Saturday day I wasn't feeling too good and then Sunday morning I woke up in a sweat, all hot and just felt so sick. It was a shame as we were supposed to of been going to Emily and Heathers project but I really couldn't afford to of left the house. I couldn't keep any of my food or drink down, it literally passing through my system within minutes! Come Monday, I felt a little bit better and have been okay since, just a little up and down. If I still feel bad next week at school, I think I'll head to the doctors.
Wednesday Molkie, Ben and Rory, the new boys came to ours for a few nights. Was good and they taught us how to make chappatis. They've been here for 3 weeks and were teaching us ha! :)
Headed to the football shack to watch Man Utd vs Man City. Didn't kick off until 10:30pm because of the time difference but walking back home at 1am the full moon was shinning bright and lead the way. I love it when the moon is full :)
Thursday I went football training, yes football!! I love playing it and was really missing proper exercise out here, so I spoke to Isabel our country host and she hooked me up with a squad. Basically the team is made up of people from different goverment organisations and they play 5 a-side football of Thursdays. It wasn't exactly what I wanted out of the game but I really enjoyed myself and if anything I'll get to learn so much from the men there, as it would be a path I would possibly like to take. They were all older men but very friendly and they seemed impressed, especially when I scored the first goal of the game ;)
Friday Vic and me went to see R Kelly live. We went down to Lugogo at 5pm, so we could be near the front.Bebe Cool, Radio&Weasel and more of Ugandans music artists playing at 7 before R-Kelly performed at 10pm. He came on did some songs and within an hour he had finished! Well people were fuming and at the end many people staying behind to complain to Zain (The event was sponsored by Zain, a local phone network) He did sing well I'll give him that but I didn't really enjoy myself in the crowd and therefore not enjoying him. The police were pushing people back, then throwing water into the crowd so everyone was moshing into eachother. It was quite scary and could of seriously become a dangerous situation. We became friends with this guy called Excel. He's a local artist in Uganda and he looked after us when the corwd went wild, which was nice. I think we're going to meet up with sometime soon, go see him perform, free of charge of course ;)
After the concert we headed to Iguanas (a very good local club) to meet everyone else as were celebrating Molkies 19th birthday. It was such a good night, I danced all the way through to just after 5am when we left. I really enjoyed myself :)
We stayed at Backpackers and I think we're going to stay there tonight too before we had back to Bulenga until May. A little treat for ourselves :)
Well that's all for now. Back to school on Monday and Sanyu on Saturday. Back to routine and yeah I'm ready now :)
Lots of Love x x x x
