Day 288 (Thursday 18th September 08)

Not a very nice day. Rain in the night and still wet this morning. Headed for the cold showers in the public toilets which woke us up! Drove onto Australia Zoo and waited for it to open. Wandered around the massive park seeing all the different animals native and not. Went to the feeding time shows and the big Crocoseum. Very good show with one of the keepers messing around with one of the big saltwater crocodiles. Easily took up the whole day as there was so much to see. Had great fun hand feeding the Kangaroos with Joey and Wallabies. A very nice day out. Once the zoo was closed at 4:30pm headed south to find somewhere to stay for the night. Ended up in Caboolture. Couldn't really find anywhere to stay the night so ended up in Harvey Norman's car park hoping that we wouldn't be moved on!
