Day 125 (Wednesday 9th April 08)

Yet another early start to have breakfast and then Mr Me dropped us to the airport. Spoke to the Air Asia sales desk and they said we would have to buy another flight so decided that we may as well fly direct to Kuala Lumpur and go to Singapore after Malaysia. The flight was not until 1:35pm so had a wait around until we could check in. Decided to sit upstairs as there were no seats upstairs once we had bought a Lonely Planet for Malaysia and read up! The time went surprisingly quickly and we were soon checking in. Went through passport control and got some food while waiting for the flight. For the first time we had been on an Air Asia flight we left on time! Both feeling very tired fell asleep on the plane and it wasn't long before we arrived. Collected our bags once through passport control and caught the bus to where it stopped at the train station. Once we arrived there we then got a taxi to one of the guest houses in the Lonely Planet to see if they had rooms as we didn't really want to walk around with our backpacks on our back yet again! Think we are both getting tired of carrying our bags around! The room was 15 pounds a night with shared bathroom but decided to book for one night and look around without our bags. Left our bags and went for a look around finding that there wasn't anywhere much cheaper to stay and that they were all with shared bathrooms. Decided it was probably just best to have a couple of nights here and see what was around then move on. Went for a walk around to see some of the shopping and then headed back around 8pm for some local food in the restaurant next to our guest house. Then back to bed!

Day 126 (Thursday 10th April 08)

Up early to get our sight seeing done today so we were ready to move on tomorrow. Had breakfast at the guest house that was included and then asked directions for the Petronas Towers. Set off walking as it was only 2kms away, think we didn't end up going the most direct way but saw some interesting sights passing the Kuala Lumpur Tower on the way so we were happy. Got some good pictures of the Petronas Towers and then went for a look around the shopping mall inside. Tempted by lots of nice things and Mark started looking into camcorders. Consulting our Lonely Planet guide found out the shopping malls back near our guest house were best for camcorders so headed back that way when it started to rain. Got soaked but ended up in the right place and found a good deal after lots and lots of looking around! Dropped the camcorder back to the guest house so that we didn't tempt anyone wanting to nick a nice new camcorder and went in search of some food. Had spotted a TGI Fridays earlier and as we both we craving Western food headed back towards the Petronas Towers to where we had seen it. Had some very very good food! Nice fajitas and then a massive chocolate brownie to share! We were both stuffed! Needed the walk back to the Golden Triangle, where we were staying! Then looked around the cheap side stalls again as Mark wanted a wallet and Em wanted a bag and a wallet. After a lot of looking and bargaining found what we wanted and finally back to the guest house after a long day.
