Up again at 7am, packed lunch, had breakfast and onto the bus before waiting for our doctor for an hour. She finally arrived and took us to the OR where we were told there would be ob/gyn related surgeries. So we dressed into surgery scrubs and went to room 8 where we were told we'd meet her. An hour later she still hasn't arrived and it seemed like she'd left us fend for ourselves so we wandered around the OR watching bits of surgery through the windows but there were none related to ob/gyn so we went to the labour room to see if anyone was fully dilated but the most dilated was 5cm, and they thought that she might have a cesarean because her baby was really big. So we sat in the library for a while, checking in the labour room every now and then, but alas we waited for hours and nothing seemed to be happening, well, either that or there was miscommunication between us and the nurses due to the language barrier. So at 2pm we went to the ob/gyn ward where we watched the babies being bathed again before we checked in one last time at the labour room, still nothing...however the fabulous doctor from last week said that we'd be shadowing him tomorrow so hopefully he'll find things for us to see and do.
We had a delicious barbecue for dinner before some people went out to the night market and ladyboys but I had just had the most amazing Thai massage and felt like jelly so I headed off to bed...I had two hours sleep before everybody arrived home and decided that a pool party and drinks at the table near my room was a good idea, so nobody got any sleep until about 3am.
My thai massage made me feel so dopey afterwards, the lady knew every pressure point and stretched me in every position possible while rubbing tiger balm into, it was sooooooo good, definetly a bargain at $6 for an hour!
