I bought Keith Richards autobiography at the airport in Melbourne as I was leaving Australia as a holiday read but was really struggling to get into it, I'd find another book in a hostel and read that instead. But today I managed to push past and keep reading and now I'm eventually getting into it. I think there was a bit too much music technicality and too much reminiscing in the beginning of the book, talking about his childhood and what shaped him as a person....

Not a lot was done today. I read my book and sat on the beach. I wandered into town in search of the bookshop I had heard about but alas I had no luck in finding it. I'm becoming quite used to this holidaying on the beach, and I think it's making me lazy! But it's too hot to move so I spend my days reading on the beach, or sipping on fresh fruit shakes or getting to know my roommates and having a drink with them in the evenings. This morning I woke to the sound of the dreaded alarm. I snoozed for another 30 minutes before jumping out of bed and packing everything up. It took me 30 minutes from bed to boat which was lucky because I only just made it on time. I left the hostel and walked to where I thought the pier was, I was wrong, it was 5km further so I power walked pack and all for a few kms before I hailed a tuk tuk and lucky I did or I would have missed my boat.
