We had a late start today. After being up at 2.30 this morning doing my blog it was good. We had breakfast just down the road from my hotel. That is the third meal I have had here.
Fitretu hired a motor bike this morning and we spent the morning touring around in the hills around here. First was a dinky museum and a show or an old BBC doco by Bruce Perry about the bull jumping. I have seen it a few times before..
After this we headed further into the hills to visit and Ari village. We got to have a good look around the village and saw a blacksmith make a knife and an old lady make a pottery tea pot. The kids were fascinated by me, they don't get to see too many white blokes. They did a good job of looking after the bike. The kids were pretty cute and it was a great morning walking around the village.
I had a free arvo today so I had a nana nap and a walk around to check the local markets.
Tomorrow we are on the bus again heading further south to see the Daasanech.
ASHLEA-I really hope you can read the signs from the museum. The girls quote there are a bit younger than you and they were quote from about 10-12 years ago.

Aprille That sounded like a good safe day
Ngaere A good day. Some interesting photos.
John Every day is a good day when your travelling. Even the s***ty ones become good ones when your telling the story.
Ashlea Hey dad, I couldn't read the last 2 about marriage and smart women but read the 'how to be a woman' Seems I have the body mods and scarification down, I should have been born in Ethiopia... although I still have my front teeth, I must be weak.... but lucky I can cook and keep a good house so I can keep my significant other from beating me.... So interesting seeing other cultures and how completely different we live. Keep taking photos of body modifications for me :)
Aprille Just caught up with all the photos. Amazing. Keep them coming. I had better go and get the house sorted now so Tony doesn't beat me
