Morocco sounds so exotic. Places like Casablanca, Marrakech and Tangir. They have been in music and films. I have heard so much about the place and was excited to come here. The bus trip here was soo hot. I was on some local bus, that looked OK, but the A/C just wasn't adequate.we were sweating all the way. To make it worse I was stuck on the back seat on top of the motor. When we were about 50km from El Jadida and the driver pulled over for 1/2hr break. In the 1700s Essaouira was known as Mogodor and it was the biggest port in North Africa. They exported gold, ivory and slaves, all from Timbuktu, to Europe and the Americas. Today it is a fishing town and tourist town. I think it is the most touristy town I have been to in Morocco. I'm in a nice Riad and I am going to take it easy for a couple of days. I know I said I wasn't going to Taghazout and I kinda didn't and did. Yesterday I moved back to Agadir and into my old hotel room.
