After a two and a half hour taxi ride across London due to the Tube strike we got on plane without trouble. Eleven hours later and another taxi from Bangkok airport got us to our hotel for tonight and Ruth was delighted with room and view! Have met up with our guide Noodie and the rest of the group and are just about to go out for a meal together. A shared starter of spring rolls, and two main courses accompanied by TWO BIG beers came to just over £10, I love this country! Now veging out (DAVID IS DRINKING MORE BEER, IM HAVING A MAGNUM ICE-CREAM NOT CHAMPAGNE)before the trip begins proper tomorrow.
