Hello from Coral Bay. The stop over at Bullara was again very enjoyable with another great night around the campfire with about 30 other campers enjoying that nice freshly made damper bread, bring your own butter and jam and having a good old chin wag as you do. Tony texted me and said that a annual meteorite shower could be seen in the night sky 2 hours before sunrise so you guessed it we were up at 5am, well viewing it from out nice warm bed with the blinds open as it was about 12 deg outside, Burrrrr. The night sky is amazing in the outback and we saw about 24 meteorites in 1/2 an hour shoot across the sky then burn out and some were quite bright and fantastic to see. After a early departure from Bullara and swapping two gold coins for 2 hot scones we hit the road for Coral Bay. Both camps were full but they put us in a overflow area in the camp that had a sea view and was right by the main road across from the beach which to us seemed like a premium spot ! We are only allowed to stay for 4 nights max.The lovely beaches here on the west coast just seem to be getting better and this has now taken over the top location so far. Some campers book 2 years in advance and stay for 4 months in one of these beach front spots where they have the same neighbours. One guy stays for 5 months at a cost of $7000 which makes this beach a must book or miss out location. The snorkelling is amazing and as soon as you put your mask in the water there are fish in very shallow water and the Ningaloo reef starts right from the waters edge , the closest in Australia and amazingly Steph has taken to snorkelling like a duck takes to water so we swim most days as the temp is up around 27 and just too hot not to have a swim. They feed the fish every second day from the beach and you can feed them as they swim about your feet with some of them being quite large snapper. Last night we went to a bar to watch the Allblacks thrash the Wallabies and we sat with lots of Auzzies that remained very friendly even though I could not help loudly cheer on the our team when they scored. Another couple joined us for a meal afterwards at the restaurant, steak and prawns for me and Steph had red emperor and chips both very yummy. Our new friends had to drive back 70km to their camp at 9pm so I hope they managed to avoided the wildlife ! We also meet another couple of new friends here from a past camp so will properly share a happy hour with them tonight.
Tomorrow we plan to free camp at Quobba which is again on the coast and also has good snorkelling.
Bye for now.

Marj Blair Sounds fabulous! Warming up a bit here now thank goodness. A tropical 11 degrees at the moment. Bound to be warmer in Mosgiel though!
