Ciao everyone! All refreshed and rested we are off to Murano Island by Vaparetto, I love being on the water, sat at the back of the water bus which is outside to take it in all. It is a fifteen minute ride to the island. Murano is famous for their hand blown glass and chandeliers. We had a wonderful quiet afternoon touring the island and visiting all the glass factories and small shops. Couldn't resist the beautiful coloured glass and bought two beautiful glass horses. Next, we took the Vaperetto down the Grand Canal see all the buildings from the water side. We stopped at St. Marco square to explore the area, this is where most of the tourists are, we didn't stay long and off we went back on the water bus to continue down the Canal. We were very happy we decided to explore the water bus system as it sure saved us a lot of walking today. Back at the apartment a couple of rum and we are off for pizza, after all we are in italia!
