Leaving Florence, Our day started on the train to Pisa, we checked our bags at the train station and we are off exploring Pisa. We found the leaning tower of Pisa and the Cathedral. Pretty amazing! Had lunch and back on the train to our next stop Monterosso, Cinque Terre. Our accommodations are up the side of the mountain, beautiful country, they are harvesting Olives in the area at this time of year. The side of the mountain has been terraced with dry rock walls built by farmers by hand which filter and drain the rain water. The farmers grow their crops on the terraces. We settled in to our accommodations and walked down the mountain to town. Beautiful small town by the sea we walked the boardwalk all along the beach and in town found a nice restaurant. Tom had swordfish, he said it was so fresh and I had Linguine el Mara, the claims, mussels, shrimp and prawns were so delicious!!!!! Back up the mountain by taxi (I drawn the line at climbing up the mountain) and a few rum and cokes and off to bed!
