We survived the two train rides from Monterosso. We barely got onto the first train because there were so many tourists, we waited for an hour for the train and the train only stops for 5 minutes and does not wait for anyone. The train started moving and I was helping Gerrie get on with her suitcases, we just made it. Noel stopped a pick pocket from getting his wallet. Their deal is they cause a commotion when tourist are getting on the train and pick your pockets. Gerrie caught this one young girl (there were three working together) who was trying to unzip the zipper on her purse. you really have to watch your belongings out here. We changed trains in LeSpezia which was a nicer train ride to Rome, more comfortable. We arrived in Rome late in the afternoon. Wow the traffic I don't know how the cab drivers do it, our driver weaved in and out of traffic changed lanes in large traffic circles, man we are so glad we are not driving. Finally we arrive at our apartment, nice accomodation we are in a older neighborhood, they call it the real Rome. We will see what tomorrow brings. Ciao!
