I have just spent 2 days and 2 nights sailing the whitsundays, which was a lot better than I thought it would be. We met at midday on saturday last week to board the boat Eurika II and its skipper whose name I forget, possibly mat. Anyway we set sail for the whitsunday islands in the rain which was not the best to be honest. We sailed for about 3 hours before reaching our spot where we was to drop anchor for the night. After a short swim in the bay while wearing the rather nice stinger suits! We had a little snack prepared by charlie who was the other crew member of nachos, rather nice too. Once that was gone, all was left for us to do was to wait for dinner and to drink. Dinner was ok, nothing special but what can you do. The evening of drinking was pretty good as we got to know each other. It was about the first time where us english was not the largest group. Anyway all went well then of to bed as we had a early start the next day to get to our snokeling spot. Day 2 was snokeling in the morning before sailing over to whitehaven beach, voted 6 best beach in the world. After going to the lookout for some photos, it was down to the beach for a few hours. Day 2 finnished with sailing to another bay to drop anchor for the night, including a short spell of me getting to steer the boat. We got there just after a spectacular sunset for dinner, and the a few more drinks to end the day. That just left us with the last morning of more snokeling before sailing back to airlie beach to conclude our sailing trip.
