We managed to get tickets for the england rugby game against the all blacks in christchurch, so upon arrival in queenstown on friday, we hired a few cars ready for our road trip. 18 june, franz joesph glacier day. Today we walked up the glacier about 8 miles in all of walking up, across and down the glacier. We got to the glacier face about 10.30 clipped on our clampons to our hiking boots, clampons are spiked soles for the ice by the way. Then we started our accent up the glacier. Hi all, the last post was written just as I got into wellington. So after a quick bite to eat and a shower it was out on the town to see what wellington had to offer. Wellington, i have just arrived so the north island is done now and tomorrow its off to the south island. Since leaving taupo I have done quite a lot, including learning the haka and getting tickets with the lads on the kiwi bus to see the second test in christchurch between england and the all blacks.
