Phoenix, AZ

We drove into the night to make up an extra day we could spend in San Diego rather than camp again. Driving into Phoenix was crazy...the roads were super dark, windy, up and down mountains and with traffic! (Diego did an awesome job!)

We spent the night in a Motel 6, drank boxed wine and ate ramen noodles :) Guilty pleasures...

In the morning we went to a tiny breakfast spot called Mike's Big Breakfast. Guy Fierri ate there so it was a cool find...had an awesome brunch and got the tip to go check out Tempe, a quick drive east. This little town felt like a whole new world...it was super cute, popping with people, shops, cafes and bars. Definitely a great strip to walk while digesting, literally, mike's big breakfast.

After a relaxing afternoon we hit the road due West, next stop, C-A-L-I-F-O-R-N-I-A!!!!!!
