Phoenix, AZ We drove into the night to make up an extra day we could spend in San Diego rather than camp again. Driving into Phoenix was crazy...the roads were super dark, windy, up and down mountains and with traffic! (Diego did an awesome job!) We spent the night in a Motel 6, drank boxed wine and ate ramen noodles :) Guilty pleasures... In the morning we went to a tiny breakfast spot called Mike's Big Breakfast. Guy Fierri ate there so it was a cool find....

Grand Canyon We left Zion behind and drove the 2.5 hours to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Grand is such an understatement. It's truly hard to grasp the immense size of this natural phenomenon. In a world of capitalism, growth and development, how can something like this exist? And take up so much space?
