Adventures of a Global Wanderer
Last stop today on Djurgarden Island was the Skansen Open Air Museum. I timed this last as the tourist office told me there would be a Spring Bonfire Festival after 9pm. However it doesnt get dark till 10pm making for a very long day.
There are similar outdoor folk heritage villages in Norway as well as Korea and some other countries. The buildings were closed for the day so you couldnt go inside or see the costumed characters.
There was also an outdoor farm with some interesting wildlife.
I made my way in the end to the main stage. It was still quite early and not much of a crowd. There were singers and a large bonfire waiting to be lit.
I was tired and couldnt wait a couple more hours after a long day exploring. I still needed to factor time getting home after this.
I waited for a tram. Most buses today were decorated with flags to celebrate the May 1 holiday tomorrow. Students were still wearing their sailors caps.
I stopped by the supermarket then made my way back to the hotel after another long tiring day.
