Hey! I have visited New Amsterdam! (No dope there as it is very different from the orginial Amsterdam!!) and went to Special Need School. It is the best out of 3 different schools because it got better trained teachers to teach the Deaf children. The head teacher got diploma in Deaf Studies. All the children are sweet and they are so excited to see us and they want to show us everything and it is sweet! :D Also they love to be involved in the picture as u can see it in the photo album! Will definitely go back and visit the school to teach them sports and Sign Language classes for the parents. We also visit the CBR unit there as they also include small group of school children to teach as it is quite far away from New Amsterdam. There are 2 deaf children. It was good to see that they have a opportunity to get an education. Also the Unit provide lots of different stuffs for the disabled children. This is encouraging and all the volunteers staff want to learn sign language which it enabled us to come back very soon to teach them sign language. The visit to New Amsterdam and Port Mortumbia (where CBR unit are) are very encouraging as it is long distance and we had to get up early in the morning and i was ill.
