Hi Steve: How are you? I am fine and I am now reitred. I went to adult Education (deaf) and I learned the English, Math and other. I can't find my deaf friend Margaret (Evans) and she married her doctor. She is living with her husband in Guyana. I don't know her address.

I knew Ashton when he was at school with me (Thorn Park) and reading about this, what seems to be a great adventure, made me proud to be a Deaf person. I only wish I was there with them! (If I knew about this, I'd jump on the first plane and go with them!) It is a very worthwhile cause, to be volunter one's time. It's noice to see Ashton's face after nearly, appraoching 20 years since we both left school!

It's good to see that you blokes had a great time in B.G. The natural beauty of Guyana is in the interior as you have experienced. Places like Tumatumari, Mahadia, in the Potaro region are massive cool. Any way! I was surfing and discovered your site-By the way great job you all are doing.
Have a great balance of 2006 or what is left of it Ta Ta!
Regards,
Nigel

Hey mate, hope you are well and enjoying on your last month in Guyana. I know the feelings cos you've been there for long enough and know everybody. I'm sure all of them would feel much appreciated of what you have done and surely they won't ever forget you!! You are one of the few people that i know who have managed to stay abroad for a year (including Aman). It would be hard for ya when you come back and be in reality just like everyone else! I have read most of your postcards and messages, it seems very interesting as i and all of us want to know what you have been up to and helping what.... Also the pictures certainly look wicked. Of course its completely different to mine as i've been to place to place while u r stuck in 1 country. But you have had all the experiences which i don't have. You have inspired me for what you have done in Guyana helping deaf people that I would love to do the same sometime in the future. Looking forward to see you and hear all your stories! Antx

Hey my friends and families!
I am soooo sorry for not able to reply to message board for aggggeeeesss as i have been busy and enjoying my last moments of Guyana before returning to UK. I will surely miss here so much as i am getting on really well with deaf people but surely the time is too fast for me to leave just now. :( but i am sooo glad that i am making good bonds with many of them and i will deffo cherish my memories here forever! :D I am entering the last month of my year stay here and i am slowing down on work now and more time to be with deaf people and community to provide more facilities for them. will be exciting and sad month for me and ashton too.
Well I have recently updated the Deaf awareness week photos on Photo albums and hope u enjoy the pictures as much as i did for the week as lots of work have been done and it came out as successful as the deaf awareness day. I am so pleased with it as we involved lots of guyanese deaf people in teh project which they are doing great job to get more awareness across guyana via tv, newspaper and in person too. i cant wait to tell u all about it when i return to UK! :D
Missing u all always and cant wait to see u again after a long year apart :S

Steven, when will you be coming back to UK? As you said that you will fly off from there on 3rd August, arrives at Gatwick on the next day which will be 5.30am. Apparently Joanna Raper said that you will be flying off earlier than 3rd? Which exact date it is then?
