From the Summit of the Klondike we also took an optional excursion into the Yukon, at the
North of Canada. This area is deemed as Canadas most beautiful - home to thousands of bears, moose, and many other native species. Its also September so the "change" as Canadians refer to it as was in full effect - the trees had begun to turn all kinds of yellows, golds and browns. It is a huge place with so much unspoilt natural beauty. We visited the town of Carcross
Where we got our passports stamped with a bear print to say we had visted the yukon. Then visited a local sled dog camp where we got to see the dogs in action (using a cart) and also got to play with baby husky puppies - so CUTE. We were both extremely happy we got to visit as it was on our wish list the whole time. The rest of the Yukon will have to wait but for what we saw, it was a great taster trip...
Back to the Cruise ship now for more food!!!!
