Dave and I are off to Wilpena Pound in the Flinders Ranges, for the next 4 days at least. We may be offline for this time as we're not sure of how the internet connection is there.
We're having a nice lazy day in Port Augusta, catching up on little things to do. See us sitting outside our tent having our muesli breakfast. Weather is perfect for us. We went for a walk to the main part of town today, it's a very friendly town. The chemist even gave us a Free toilet roll when she heard we were trying to buy just one roll, and everything was in bulk packets. She must've felt sorry for us funny old people who are travelling light on motorbikes. We didn't get to tell the chemist that we use the toilet roll for our "paper towel and tissues". So convenient when camping.
Today we posted off to WA home our 5 1/2 kg of uncut jade rock that we bought in Cowell. Poor Helen or Adrian when they get to pick this up from our local post office! Muscles needed. Won't be buying big rocks like this for a while!
The campers kitchen at the Big 4 caravan park in Port Augusta is even better than the one in Coffin Bay that Dave rated as "the best". When I went to check it out last night I thought I'd gone into someone's flash cabin, as a family with their kids were sitting around eating at a formal dining table in a proper kitchen environment.
