A lazy packup at Port Augusta with only 160+km to travel to Wilpena Pound in the Flinders Ranges. First stop was the small town of Quorn with it's old world street scape. Beautiful old stone buildings with their verandas. The old store still had a working money sender where the store staff would put the money in a container and send it via a wire to the office.
After a walk around Quorn we went on to Hawker. Here we saw the working seismometer. South Australia and the Filnders Ranges area get a lot of small earth quakes.
Trish has told me I'm not allowed to say that only she had one of these absolutley massive steak sandwiches. So I won't! $11 for the biggest and tastiest steak sandwich you will ever see.
Then it was onto Wilpena and setting up camp again.
