Day 20 - Another warm day, with to-day being our final full day in London. We headed off to St Pauls Cathedral and were greeted with rather large queues. We opted not to join the queue and managed to get a little way in through a side entrance and sneak a few photos. It was then down to the Thames for a long stroll along the boardwalk passed Big Ben & the Houses of Parliament and on to Westminster Abbey. Again many people lined up to get inside and at a cost of 18pounds each & time against us we decided to have a picnic lunch in St James's Park before we went on to Buckingham Palace to get some close-up photos that weren't possible the day before because of the changing of the guard ceremony. We got some good photos around the main entrance and around Queen Victoria's Statue just outside the gates. There was a lot of preparation happening in the palace grounds, setting up for the queen's 60th Jubilee celebrations. On the tube again and off to Knightsbridge for a bit of retail therapy in Harrod's department store. Every product name worth mentioning could be found here, with 5 huge levels of departments. As it was just coming off peak hour, we headed back to our suite to start packing for the move tomorrow. A very late Thai dinner saw us in bed a little earlier than last night, as we have to be at King's Cross Station by 9.30am (with all luggage in tow). Its then off to start our European adventure with the Eurostar train to Paris. Let's hope this nice fine weather continues.
