Left Wycliffe and drove the 556 km to get to Daly waters. After an interesting night with a lot of noise outside our caravan, I was quite happy to leave. Left Alice today and headed to Wycliffe well today, the UFO sighting capital of Australia!!! Hysterical really but this was our policy for staying so we could go visit the devils marbles. The kids absolutely loved the marbles, running around climbing on everything. Spent 3 days here at Uluru. It really is breathtaking and much better than I remembered through my childhood eyes!!! We did the Mala walk with the kids, it was so windy that you couldn't have climbed the rock even if you wanted to. Have been walking seen the most amazing sunsets on the rock, went to the pioneer outback hotel for a few quiet moments in a the afternoon, and then left today for Alice springs. A big day today with beautiful weather to top it off! We headed to the rock this morning and went to the cultural centre first. This was great and talked a lot about the aboriginal community taking over the land rights of the area. The room was filled with painting on the walls which were really impressive. We arrived at Ayers Rock today..yippee the kids were so excited. We left Coober Pedy yesterday and drove 660 km to Curtin springs......happy Mother's Day with 7 hrs in the car. All things considered the kids were good, although were absolutely bouncing off the wall when we arrived about 1630. Let them run around like ferrals then put them to bed. Free camped last.
