Cairns is in the tropical north of OZ, so the weather was much more humid than what we had experienced so far. Cairns is right in the middle of the Great Barrier Reef, so the sea looked gorgeous and it was so clear, when we flew out of Australia over the sea we could see the reef at the bottom, right down to the sea bed!! It was really beautiful. We didnt do an awful lot in Cairns as we used it as a base to go to the rainforest up north, to sort everything out before we left OZ for good, and of course last minute Oz purchases!! One special thing we did though was go out for a lovely meal on the harbour to celebrate the last two years together :) xxx
