Dan and Claire go worldwide
Wooo!! We finally found a computer that let us download our much awaited OZ photos, so now you have been bombarded with them!!! And we are finally up-to-date!!! Sorry the photos of Sydney are a bit on the sparse side, but after my camera going mysteriously missing and Dan's playing up all week, we have got the photos off friends so they are in email format and so you will have to wait until we return to see most of them...sorry !!!
Escaping the tack of Surfers Paradise, we headed to Australia's third biggest city, Brisbane. It was a nice city, but a bit on the quiet side. The bars/clubs only open at the weekend, so arriving at the beginning of the week, we ended up having a quiet few days. We couldnt believe it, especially as Ozzies are renound for drinking so much all the time!!
We spent the three days just sightseeing and of course a liitle trip around the shops :). The southbank area of Brisbane was really nice, just over the river. It had gorgeous gardens and an artificial beach in the middle of the city, just beside the main river. It was so weird!! Literally, you just walk 10 minutes out of the really built up business district over the bridge to find people in bikinis sunbathing on a fake beach, swimming in the fake sea, complete with lifeguard, with the river in the background...it was kind of surreal, but really nice all the same!
So after a quiet few days we decided to head on up the coast to Noosa to find some sign of life........
