Dan and Claire go worldwide
So off to Noosa we went, and we ended up staying four nights in this beautiful town. Noosa is one of the richer towns on the east coast, filled with expensive properties and boats galore!!
We stayed in Noosaville, a district next to the Noosa river, where our hostel was based. The first day it rained so we just mooched about the town....were starting to find that theres not an awful lot to do in OZ when the weather is bad, as most of the activities are based outside!! Thankfully the next day the weather picked up, so we spent the day sunning ourselves on the beach and spying on a beautiful beach front wedding!! We headed back late afternoon, and went kayaking down the Noosa river, stopping off on the mini deserted islands, whilst the sun set above us. Trying to get out of the river proved to be harder than I thought though, as i got caught in numerous fishing lines along the bank...needless to say, the fisherman werent very impressed by my kayaking skills! oopps! We then hopped off onto the river side and cooked (another!) bbq by the river, watching the huge Pelicans on Pelican beach.
For our last day in Noosa we went to the famous Australian zoo, home of the crodile hunter Steve Irwin (unfotunately Tommy D, we didnt see Mr.Irwin himself....better luck next time!). It was a great day, watching the cheesy shows in the 'Crocoseum' and feeding and patting all the animals, before heading back for a traditional English 'fish & chips' by the river!
All in all, a good time was had, and we headed on to Rainbow Beach. Photos are coming folks!!!
