Surfers Paradise was like an English seaside resort (think of Great Yarmoth!) but on a MUCH bigger scale!!!. Two days was enough for us. Being on the Gold Coast however, the beaches were absolutely gorgeous, stretching for miles....its a shame that the rest of the town left much to be desired! Neon lights galore, stacks of greasy takeaways and tacky bars...catch my drift?!? It was a weird mix of very expensive high rise skyscrapers and tacky souvenir shops set on a gorgeous beach. So after only two nights, we headed out after a lift in style in a limo to the bus station (Ha!), and off to our next destination, Brisbane. xxx
