Day 5 - Namib national park On the truck for 6:45 am drive 50 kilometres to national park ..... Drive to Dune45 which is 350 metres high ..... Annette was the first to reach the summit and I was second - many of the team didn't make it. Hard work but worth it .... Day 4 - The longest day Today we had to travel 650 kilometres, it would be the longest distance travelled in a single day - the weather would be "scorchio" and we had at least 10 hours driving, so an early start at 7:00 am The gods were on our side, the day was actually quite cool and the it rained - beautiful. Day 3 - Fish River Canyon We spent the whole morning canoeing down the Orange River ..... Hard work at times but great fun. Day 2 - Namibia Bound ................We now roused at 5:30 am showers, breakfast and briefing then on the road for 7:00am. As we headed through the Northern Cape the terrain became very different from the lush Green the 9 "efes" had experienced on the Garden Route and the Western Cape.
