Day 3 - Fish River Canyon

We spent the whole morning canoeing down the Orange River ..... Hard work at times but great fun.

After lunch we headed off again our next stop in Ai-Ais and stopped en-route at the Fish River Canyon, which is reputedly the 2 nod biggest in the world ... After the Grand Canyon in the USA.

One of the Germans, Helmut, a Giant of a man( In girth) probably Archie times 2, didn't shut the window and a Baboon got in ..... Fortunately, Helmut was still in the truck and his ensuing panic frightened the Baboon who made a quick escape

Hearing all the explanations in German was already becoming a pain and so was the translator ...... a 30 ish South African from Capetown, who had the arrogance of a SA male honed with a Teutonic edge from 8 years working in Germany ..... I suspect he is not really translating what the guide is saying at all .......
