It was another windy night but this time in Mykonos. We headed off about 10.30am from our apartment & made our way into Chora. It was yet again sunny with a bit of wind blowing throughout the day. We first headed down to the new port to see the largest ocean liner we have ever seen. It was friggin huge! A floating city. Then it was into town. Our order of business was to book our tickets to Athens on the ferry for 5 days time. With that done we wandered back through the streets of what is known as Little Venice & headed up to 5 old windmills overlooking the back of Chora. We chanced upon the pink pelican (found out his name is Petros) & took our snaps & had a pat. He loved it as much as we did, I'm sure. Our next stop was a creperie for lunch before making our way back to the car to explore a different part of the island. We decided to head to Paradise Beach because let's face it, it has to be pretty spectacular doesn't it? So we arrived & found that it was a series of beach bar clubs. This was where all the big parties went down on the island & I'll be honest here, it was pretty spectacular. We arrived about 4pm & wandered through the tables & sunlounges on the beach before settling at one. It was pretty busy with people of all ages in bikinis & beach wear drinking & enjoying the dance music. We had dancing girls right beside our table adding to the views. But the whole vibe along was pretty amazing & we can only imagine what it would be like at night. It is the sort of place you could drink & dance & eat & swim the day & night away with friends. We stayed for a beer and some people watching before leaving them all to it & heading back home. After an hour we drove down to the beach near us which is deserted & looked beautiful. Sadly though when we got close the whole stretch of sand was covered with rubbish & obviously isn't used very much. Such a shame. We then headed to the town of Ano Mera near us for an amazing Greek feed off the spit. Following this we returned home to recharge before we headed back to Paradise Beach for the Full Moon Party. Well no, we didn't really. Maybe next time.
