Danny's Summer '06 Study Abroad
Here's a recap of the last week in Oxford. Wed. we had our annual soccer match against the UGA students that are at other campuses in Oxford. It was on our fields at Worcestor, and we lost in shootouts. I don't know how it even got to shootouts b/c we had 7 guys on the GT club team and the UGA guys sucked. We can't beat them in anything, and this was the 1st year that GT has lost at Oxford. O well. The next night we had our Champagne reception hosted by the Provost at Worcestor (free champagne). Afterwards some of us went to Turf Tavern a local pub that has open mic nights on Thursdays. Daniel played and was amazing (he played Jack Johnson, Sitting Wishing Waiting and one of his songs). Then Friday Lindsey, Morgan, Neela, Shayna, and Melissa and I went to Dover to see the white cliffs. We had 6 hrs of train riding and we were all in Ethics so we had a major cram session, which prepared us well for the exam the next day. The cliffs were gorgious and were very weird b/c they were a chalky white substance. After our exam on sat., a bunch of us went to moo moos, a milkshake stand in the market, and to the cookie stand that sells amazing cookies priced by the kilo. Tonight (Sat.) we have karoke night at our campus pub. One last night of fun.
