This morning we had an assignment to go see the baptistery doors next to the Cathedral di Santa Maria del Fiore that is famous for its duomo. We climbed up the bell tower right next to the cathedral and got an overlooking view of the city. Today we went to the Accademia, saw Michelangelo's David, which is much larger than I imagined. Then we went to this church (S. Maria del Carmione) which was a waste b/c it was a good walk and boring, but then some of us went to the Petti Palace and checked out the Gardens there. Today we went to the Bargello and Uffizi Museum. I'm really getting tired of seeing paintings and sculptures, so I'm not even going to write about them. Afterwards we just roamed around, it's not like Paris where I had all of these things that I had to go to and see anymore. Tonight we went to a pub crawl, something organized by a bunch of Brits, but it was a lot of fun, ended up at a club after the 3 bars and stayed there for a while.

We traveled to Florence and on the way we stopped in a little Italian town along the mountains. It was a great change of scenery to see a small town compared to the big tourist attraction cities. We even met up w/ one of the other groups that were passing by. When we got to Florence we took a walking tour by some of the churches, Duomo, and Uffizi. Today Lewcock took us on a tour of some churches. Some are different from anything we've seen so far b/c they have a façade that stands out from the rest of the building.
